Those "ARG" auctions you can't win

Just wondering, do you guys have those "Arg" times when there is a card you would really like to buy but you have no paypal available? I like trying to pick up PC cards whenever I can, and it just frustrates me when a nice PC card goes by and you can't buy it. Im actually proud of myself for not buying it and digging myself in an even deeper hole, but it still bugs me when it happens. It isn't as if the card in question is a ridiculously expensive card, just the timing wasn't right. Anyone else been in one of these situations?

Happened to me last night...... New PC Is Erik Condra and the one card I really wanted was his black diamond gold rookie /10 well saw one on eBay but didn't have the PayPal and had to watch itself for $10!!!!!! I bought mine last night for almost $20 still REALLY happy but almost paid double for it

Best example I can think of......

At the Fall Expo a few years back, a seller had an 05-06 The Cup Nobel Numbers of Ranford / Fuhr for about $100 more than I was willing to pay. I simply could no afford the asking price. I made him an offer, he declined. I made the same offer to him again before I left, which he declined again.

Fast forward to the Spring Expo - same seller, same card, in his 50% off case. I bought it for less than I offered him in the fall.

If the price is too high, walk away. You'll get another chance at it.

happens all the time with me, but the most notable hesitations for me recently was passing on a Eberle 2clr Cup @$600 and then a 3clr @$1000....both would have brought in a good return in a matter of 2 months....these weren't auctions though.
