A Kovy Quandry
Any ideas why Ilya Kovalchuk has two base cards in the 07-08 UD set? They are #169 and #420.

Neither is a checklist or a subset. Perhaps they had to pull the plug on another player and dropped him in? Thoughts?Hidden Content

They do that from time to time. There was the duder from last year that got a YG in both UD1 and UD2. Oversight. Good for the Kovy collectors that like their HG parallels. LOL
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Even Chris Phillips has two from that year I believe. I guess they were really lazy in 07-08.

I also noticed, in looking at the UD website, that the 07-08 Series 1 card for Rostislav Klesla (card #22) is an SP? It makes you wonder if there was some sort of production error. Why would such an inoccous card of a marginal player be an SP?

Rick Nash also had two in that years set. I didn't realize the Klesla was SP'ed.

The 2nd Kovalchuck used to sell for big buck, when I mean that It sold for 75% of BV, his Young Gun did not.
When Kovalchuk went into the tank after landing in New Jersey, his secondary 01-02 Upper Deck card also tanked for good.

Yeah that's what it looks like because I have at least one copy. I may have doubles of it if anyone needs one for a set.
Just looked down and realized I used one of the Klesla SPs when I laminated a bunch of cards onto my computer desk.Last edited by ginx86; 02-11-2012 at 12:44 PM.
