    Thumbs down gas

    the price of gas will be going to $5.00 this summer. lots of poeple will not driving this summer?????

    I won't get into details. I will just say the price of $5.00 per gallon is nothing new. Been hearing that for a few years. As long as speculation continues to dominate the markets, there will always be a major influx of prices leaning upwards!

    Dont worry, prices will drop around election time....everyone will think Obama is the greatest which will get him re-elected, once elected prices will rise once again.

    The US government doesn't have that much control over oil prices, just the taxes levied on them. Recent runup has a lot more to do with Iran attempting to block the Strait of Hormuz.

    works out to 1.31$/litre. Im from Newfoundland, Canada, and its been at this rate now for 3 - 4 years, sometimes spiking to 1.45 - 1.50$ (upwards of 5.70$ a gallon)
