How do I get paypal refund on shipping?
So had issues with paypal labels. Clerk at post office said they had to have the date they were being mailed on the label to be sent.
Well I had printed stuff a day or 2 ahead of time and didn't mail them til this past Monday.
Another user said just throw them in the box. Well they were on their way until now the just came back saying "meter date must show actual date of mailing"
To me this is just stupid, what if the box gets collected after the date you mailed it or something like the next day.
So how do I go about getting a refund from paypal on the shipping? I'm out like $5 right now and 3 trades are sitting here when they should be in the mail.

There is no consistency in the post office. Some times I send packages with 2 stamps and they go through fine other times I send a package with a similiar size through another post office or mail box and they send it back and request more postage. Or the infamous Peyton Manning for example when I used one particular post office in my area they return the package back w/o explanation they when I use another one the package goes off without explanation. Also don't even bother to try calling 800-275-8777 the post office customer service line because they will give you a different story each time that you call in.

I think I"m literally out $5 or so on shipping, because you can only void them within 24 hours. And these were sent out and returned so they were used basically I'd imagine. I'm pissed beyond belief.
Let's take a poll. Does it make sense that you can't print out postage ahead of time, why should there be consequence? It was paid for!
What if someone prints a label on say today March 7th and it gets put in a mailbox after they collect it, is it going to get RTS all because the mail doesn't get collected from there again til March 8th?

I have MANY times printed labels and marked them 2-3 days after. That clerk is full of BS. DO NOT bring them inside the PO and just drop them in any mailbox outside the PO. I drop mine in the box at the corner of my street or the box outsider the PO all the time and have never had a problem with any date issues on the mail.

Then how do you explain them being sent back. I took them after she refused and just put them in the mailbox outside later on that day. And here they are right now on my desk RTS. And it says exactly this:Meter date must show actual date of mailing if you meter today you must mail it today.
Any clue on how to get a refund?

Even if it was printed thru paypal is there even anything they can do about it? I did try asking on yahoo answers(usually get more common sense on there then I do from real humans at a place lol) Even get more logical answers on here from people.
And I'm sending an email to usps customer service.

Well I had the steps written out how to void the package but just read if it is more than 48 hours you can void it to get your money back.

Basically SOL as I tried to dispute it on paypal but because it is USPS shipping labels you have to look at another section. Well it says basically once it gets scanned into the system you can't get refunded. My own mistake because I just put them in the box on another person on heres reference because they said it did not matter. So they were scanned in and then just ended up back here.
I even tried following the links to try and reprint and maybe edit the date, but no it has been too long since.
Extremely annoyed at this and the fact other users say they have sent stuff on days that weren't the date on the label and never had an issue where items came back. Such inconsistency it's ridiculous. Going to go down to a Post Office where they are sensible and see what I can do. And you bet I'm going to let them hear it about how people send stuff on days that aren't on the label.
It makes no sense at all, if it is paid for then who cares what the date is!
