dwight only wants to be like a gm for the team b/c his gm otis smith will not listen to him, he's told him for the last 2 years the team needs more quality players to be a title contender again and otis smith has done nothing in 2 years about this and now with 2 days left until the deadline is over he wants to do something now.

Trading for quality players is not simple. That being said, the Magic have probably traded more players than any other contending team since their Finals run. Question really is, why do Magic fans and observers see the same type play and have the same complaints despite having their roster revamped so much?

I'm all for these superstars actually staying with their team and trying to win a championship....but they all want the easy road out now with their 'superteams'.

    +1

I have high respect for teams who built their core around the draft (Spurs, Thunder, Bulls) instead of using their big market status to lure star free agents (Lakers, Celtics, Heat).

Yea, listening to the players work really well, look at the Cavs roster in 2009-10, that was ALL LeBron.

    ---
Magic should trade him because it's becomming VERY obvious he's not going to resign, reports say he wants to join the Heat/Magic...I mean, REALLY? If that happens I am done watching the NBA, it's pointless.

I will continue to say the NBA lockout solved NOTHING. No franchise tag and no hard cap. If they made a hard cap it'd be impossible (unless a group of star players took a lot less money, which obviously wouldn't happen) for super teams to take place.

Get ready for Dwight's TV show, it's coming...

Magic should trade him. They haven't worked out a long term contract with him and they just don't have the assets to bring in a another star before the deadline.

I believe they can still make a trade with the Nets and acquire some young guys...Brook Lopez, Marshon Brooks, Damion James along with the expiring contract of Mehmet Okur and draft picks.

    TRADE HIM

It's tough watching Orlando and all I hear about it Dwight, Dwight, Dwight. He's a baby. I dont want him here anymore. He is killing our packages too.

Wouldnt go to Chicago because he isnt the #1 and it's too cold.

Wouldnt go to the Lakers because Kobe "messed it up" by telling him he won't be #1 there either

Rumor has it, he has told the Nets not to deal away too much for him because he will just go there in the offseason.

He's just a baby, I want him gone. Otis has made some horrible trades over the years, like it's a video game, hopefully he can make a good one here

Right now, it looks like the only chance he stays is if the Magic can acquire a Monta Ellis (who I know see hias been traded...) or other high level player to go with him...chances of that happening aren't great. Orlando is the most inconsistent team in the NBA, losing to Charlotte and beating Miami?

I say trade Dwight and bring in some young talent...the only real player they have in that category anymore is Ryan Anderson.

Um, your facts are a little off there. They actually beat CHI, IND, and MIA in their last 3 games

Reports say Dwight is opting into his final year to stay with Orlando.

Obviously it's not official, but it seems when Orlando forced his hand he chose this route
