Panini Certified question
This is a really dumb question. I dont buy much Certified, but I bought a pack today. What is the difference between the totally silver and the regular base? Ive bought like 5 packs ever, and in the pack I got today, all the cards were shiny, not like the other base I have seen before. Did I get a hot pack, or can I just not tell the difference?

Regular:

Totally Certified parallel:

As you can tell from the scans, the regular base cards have an ice surface background on them, really nice gloss finish. The Totally Certified parallels are more of a burst of silver in the background.

Also (not sure if to others, but to me at least) the front of the card feels different. Totally Silver cards only come in hot packs, which only come from hot boxes. In my hot box, i got nine hits out of 10 packs. If you think you got a hot pack, get the rest of the box it was in :)

Hi,
Just checked my base cards and found a whole stack of these. Thanks for pointing it out.

It's also fun to know that they screwed up printing Derek Stepan and didn't make any real base cards - they're all "totally certified"

Great call on the hot box. Went back and bought the other two packs today. One had nothing, and the other had a Tim Thomas Fabric of the Game 14/25. A HUGE seam. Got a Saad auto redemption in the first pack. Wish I could have gotten the whole box.

I ended up hitting that card out of my one Certified box break too. Neat little card to have.
