UFC PPV Question
Hey guys. Got a simple (hopefully) question here. If I run a retail store and order a PPV fight am I allowed to broadcast it in my retail store for non profit? Or do I need to get some sort of permission from Zuffa? I was thinking of having some sort of matchup pickem cost with a prize.
Anyone live in Austin, TX? Wondering where the best place is to watch UFC PPV fights for free (well I don't mind paying for food or drinks).

I would check your local sport/grill places. Buffalo Wild Wings hosts PPV's and some local sport/grill places host fights.
As for a first part, I know the UFC actually encourages my local sport grill, giving them posters and giveaway stuff for fights.

Thanks for the info. But I wonder if your sports grill has to pay royalties or something to broadcast events. I know UFC cracked down on some online piracy lately but I believe that was sites selling the streaming content. Posters and other prizes would be great for what I have planned.

What difference does it make? Your ordering it, not hotwiring it. matt hamill charges 10 a head for the ppv and a buffet at his club

I know bars have to pay a set amount for how many people the place holds. I have no idea what the amounts are but Im not sure if it matters that you are doing it non profit or not

Not for profit or not....you can't broadcast a UFC in a retail establishment without paying a licensing fees. These fees are HUGE, $10-20/person....so if you're a retail establishment and your capacity is 300 people, you need to pay Zuffa $3000-$6000.
NOW, what are the chances that someone reports you? Slim to none so I say do it but just understand that there IS a risk.

Well that puts a dent into my plans. Not something I would try to get away with since I'm just a small retail business. I was planning on giving away a box of UFC cards as top prize for anyone who picked all the card fights correctly. I appreciate the info.
