1 Box Panini Preferred- suggestions?
Went to the local card shop and picked up a box of Panini Perferred. The owner told me he picked up a case and the guy before him opened a Kobe auto. He had the pic there and all to prove it. So I picked up a box thinking it may be a Kobe / Laker hot case? What would you do, hold onto it in a trade / future sell or open it? Thanks in advance!

In my opinion (don't get mad lol) I would open it. You may not break even on your $$, but some nice stuff is being pulled. And yes, there may be a Kobe in there. Its just not my thing to sell sealed boxes unless its vintage or whatnot.

what? kobe/lakers hotcase? ive never heard of anything like that. i mean gold standard sometimes had 2 kobes in one box, but theres no such thing as a kobe hotcase. if anything, if the guy before you got a kobe, thats the case hit which means you won't be getting a card as nice.
i could be totally wrong though, maybe panini loaded these cases? idk someone fill me in

The product has some nice hits, but it's rare to pull a couple of Kobes from the same case...unless you were opening Gold Standard.

Kind of true also! The blowout store in chantilly, va, they had 2 different occasions when 2 kobe autos came from the same box.

By Kobe "hotcase" I meant at least two plus autos in a case and maybe a nice jersey patch. Check other thread for my hits.

I have a box of Preferred on its way to me...Now I am hoping its a Kobe hotbox. I think I may be getting my hopes up a bit too high.

It isn't a bad product, but clearly not the best. I felt somewhat lucky to get 4 autos (one numbers to /5 of Zach Randolph) but I'd open and see what you get.
