I haven't seen any MTOs put up for sale in a long while, but yes certain ITG brands have a "made to order" redemption in their packout - one of the few redemptions ITG runs. They range from single player "complete package" type like the Gaborik in the bottom right here, to triples like this one for $750. I'd be happy to be corrected by I think MTO-Quad players are as large as they go?
Now to be clear, the MTOs DO have a checklist of available players that you can choose from, you don't have the freedom to just pick randomly... but the checklists are usually quite large and very star-powered. It's one of the best concepts in the industry.
Oh, should also point out that ITG does not use blank cardboard fillers- every pack that doesn't include a memorabilia card contains a "HSHS" point card. Collect 200 points from any one set and you can redeem them for a hand-numbered card based on the set theme (prospects, goalies, "era" players like the 1972 set, etc..)Last edited by Estovia; 03-29-2012 at 08:47 PM.

As for the autographs a quick google images search will show you a variety of years' auto designs.

Someone who knows better than I do should probably provide more detail on this, but I will give it a shot...
The cards are called "Made To Order" and are a very special less-than-one-per-case hit. In fact, I think they only release a handful in each set, and not all ITG releases have them. If you're one of the few lucky ones who gets one, you will already know how many memorabilia pieces and/or players you will get to choose from, and there is an official list of players available for that product's Made to Order cards for that year (so it isn't a totally limitless choice). They are very hard to come by, and they are very popular cards. A rough estimation, but depending on the specifics of the card, they typically sell for at least $200, often more.

11/12 H&P has single, double, and triple player MTOs. I think 3 of each is the print run?

They do, but they are very rare.
The one I have came from 2010-11 Between The Pipes. Was in a group break last year, got the top pick, and the 'Made To Order' redemption was pulled. It was an easy first pick for me. REALLY easy.
I believe that there were 5 redemption cards each for Single, Double, and Tripple player memoribilia cards inserted into the whole print run - but maybe my number is off?
I looked around - and I think I probably could have sold the dual player redemption for about $500. I chose to redeem it instead.
ITG provides a list of players available for use, and in my case - Ranford & Vezina were the picks. Then they make the custom card.
Heroes & Prospects, Between The Pipes, and Ultimate Memoribilia all have them, I don't recall with their other products.
IMO - Made To Order is the single best idea that anyone has come up with for memoribilia cards.
