1 X Preferred & 1 X SP Authentic
So I thought I'd try my luck with Preferred. Fairly happy with the results, I think I "broke even" on this one, which on "one off" breaks is pretty good I think. So here are my hits, not including the Byron Scott redemption from the 1st pack I opened.
Firstly Gordon Hayward Die Cut Auto /99

It got better from there, with a low-numbered, old-time Michigan Wolverine and Knicks star up next

And then there was the booklet, taken over 2 pics due to its awesomeness...Ooooh yeah, she's a beauty isn't she :)

Alas the pics dont quite do it justice, but the Robinson & Shaq patches are simply stunning.
And then I was pretty happy with the 11/12 SP Authentic hits as well. They were firstly Sam Perkins Home Court Signatures (my Chase Set)

And then things got good, with a low numbered (7/40) David Thompson College Pride Auto

And continued to look up when I pulled this Russell Westbrook Auto 36/75

Thanks for looking

Preferred Booklet
Would prefer (pardon the pun) to hold onto the booklet at the moment. I'm thinking about grabbing a couple more off ebay etc, I think that they would look most awesome displayed all together. Still not really sure what sort of value they hold. The /25 patch booklets seem to significantly vary in price.
I will let you know if this plan changes.
Thanks for the interest.

Sweet booklet...but not sure on Panini's logic with that booklet. One colored Kobe patch and then obviously give you a non patch (but 2 color piece) for Grant Hill...and then what looks like just a simple jersey piece for Garnett. I wouldn't be complaining at all if I pulled that, but for the price mark you would like to see some sort of consistency.
