IP Autographing Question
I see tons of people with sick IP autos over the years during the regular season. How do you define your IP success? Do you go to BP before the game or stock the home team before or after the game?

For minor league it is very easy, get there about 30 min before game starts and get most of the guys pre game then you can go outside after the game and get almost everyone to sign

For me I do BP/Warm ups, signings/appearances, charity events, hotels, at the buses after games, ect. Anything where I meet the athlete and see them sign my item, I coulnt aa an IP success.

I have only graphed at games or public autograph signings. I have never tried graphing at hotels but would be interested in doing so if it would be worth my time.

The worth of the hotels really depends on:
1. distance from where you are
2. # of players wanted/needed
and 3. The signing habits of the team(s).
I live about 45 minutes from Minneapolis where most of the teams stay in MN, so it's not something I do often, but for certain teams or players, who I really like or have a lot of stuff for, I'll go try if I'm not busy.

I live on the outskirts of atlanta. If the hawks opponents stay at hotels near philips areana or anywhere near downtown then it would be a no brainer for me. How do you find out what hotels the players are staying, how do you get past security, and where do you wait at for the ballplayers?

There rarely is security. Just barriers outside the doors, by the buses. where to wait depends on the hotel. And finding out is the tough part. Call hotels, google search or get in with a reliable source like a dealer are the best ways. Or just go downtown and check out all the fancy hotels in the area.
