I figured I would start a in person thread. I will be going to Syracuse Chiefs, Rochester Red Wings, and Scranton Yankees games for the most part. I have decided to skip 2 of my classes tomorrow to hit up Syracuse's opening day game. Going to give Harper a shot. Will post tomorrow what I get, hopefully I will get to report getting a Harper ball!!!

Well, today was not as productive as I expected. Harper will be near impossible to get. They have blocked off the area that we usually go to which is right by the clubhouse. So not only you cant get harper, but you cant get any of the other Syracuse Chiefs, which really sucks. I got to there after they had already opened the gates and the Syracuse side was already packed so I went over to the visiting side to try and get some of the Red Wings. Not many stopped and signed as it was very cold and windy. But managed to get:

Jeff Manship-4/4
Drew Butera-1/2

I decided not to stay after with it being so cold and I still have plenty of time to get guys. Anyway, thank for looking!!

Oh, that's rough, but what else can you do? Maybe you'll get lucky and get him before a game sometime.

Yeah thats what i am hoping for. I knew he would be a tough one to get i just didnt think they would block the area off so you cant really even get to him. It still felt really good to get to the first game though!!

Sounds like a lot of people struggled at both minor league and major league games yesterday. I find it kind of surprising, so early on in the season, people are already being stingy about signing. You did say it was cold though, and I think that often plays a factor.

It was just one day, though, hopefully things will get better as the season goes on. Good luck!

Yeah, the players didn't come out till just before the game started because it was so cold. I definitely think the weather played a role in the players not wanting to sign. I sure did feel good for baseball to get going for the season though!!!

I think it was a combination of being in the 40's around most parks and a lot of different Opening Day presentations that hurt all of our chances...hopefully it'll start warming up, too.

Yeah exactly, I am not too worried, it was only the first game, there are going to be a ton more this season!! :)
