My custom set
I was inspired as I had a Barry Bonds autograph patch card created for me by a member on another site.I loved the idea of creating my own card.Well here's my hand at an 86 Met tribute set.I have selected 18 players to be in the set.I collect the 1986 Mets and I really wanted a complete autograph set that matched design wise.I have found certified autographs of all the players to be used. They will be incorporated as a "cut signature" into the custom. This is still a work in progress as I used a copy of the cut sig as a demo.
I know cutting up a card may not sit well with the collecting community but I will admit I do try and use damaged type cards first.I hope to have a few final copies completed in the next week or so.

Looks great, love the design. Just a quick question, how did you cut out the part where the cuts are?

I know it is a question that is always coming back : hoe to cut for a cut space.
I think i have the best way ever. I stumble on some punch hole in my wife's scrapbooking stuf... made some tries... it woark like a marvel. You have all kind of shapes (square, rectangles, circles, odd victorians shapes, round corner rectangles, etc) and they come in all kind of sizes (increments on 1/4 of an inch). I will definatly do more test and a set of custom with fabric... soon.... hopefully.

They do have scrapbook punches but none that would fit exactly what I needed. It was either too big or small or too long or short.Pass along some pics when you try it out. -Steve

Here is the first try.
My business card is the size of a sport card.
For easy testing, I've just pushed the card as far as possible, but it would be possible to bring the punch more on the edge.
I really like example "D", with the victorian corners (they are to much in the middle) with a really old baseball design, I think it would be really good.
I'll post more experiments when possible.

They look like they would work well with game used pieces.
