Card Inventory Manager
What's the best way to manage your card inventory?
Right now I have my tradelist in a thread on SCF, like most members here do. But what I'm thinking of doing is listing all my cards on Beckett Organize. But from what I understand, no one can view my card lists on Beckett, unless they have a Beckett account. Does anyone know a way around this?
I mainly deal on SCF, so do you think a tradelist thread should suffice. I know some people use the inventory manager on SCF too.
The reason I would prefer Beckett is that I can quickly see all my pricing, it's clean and has the most info.
I don't want to manage/update two lists however.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

I can't really provide you much more information - as your assessment is bang on.
Anything you do on Beckett is only accessible to other Beckett members (which is the same thing for your inventory here. SCF members are the only ones that will see it).
I don't think there is a right answer - if you think a trade list here works well then I see no problem with it. I do see your point about the extra work involved in using two seperate inventories (I would agree with you, that seems like a lot of work).
Photobucket, Weebly, flicker..... other sites like that.... they're also popular ways to supliment trade lists. If you're scanning things to add to one inventory - shouldn't be a lot of extra work to upload them somewhere else, and at least have the scans to go along with trade lists?

One thing I really like about the SCF inventory is the "Find all want list available in the inventories!" for want lists. If you have all of your traders listed in your inventory, people that have want lists in their inventory can find your cards and contact you about trades.

I'd use the SCF Inventory. Fantastic device. And free!
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Sorry but this is totaly false, the public inventories, stores and CC stores can be seen and search by non members. Log out and check my inventory:
https://www.sportscardforum.com/scf/i...y/CoolHandLuke
This also mean that search engine can pick up all your cards and since each card have their individual page a search engine can pick up this page:
do a search on this test in google :
2010-11 Ultimate Collection Ultimate Autographed Dual Patches #ADJGL Wayne Gretzky/Mario Lemieux
And what come up first, this page:
https://www.sportscardforum.com/scf/i.../1/sort/cvdesc
The only part that member only can access is the My Inventory tab and the My Store Tab. So the database search where you add card is not public but all entries member make is totally public. Now you will not be able to buy card in the public section but you can see them all and do search, see the want list and all images can be posted on a other site as well as image link are also public. Check this image when you are log out.

Just wanted to clarify this as this is a important aspect of SCF inventory manager. Also you can add BV and you can also download the full content of your inventory into a excel file that can be stored on your computer. we also archive the back up you make here on the server.Last edited by CoolHandLuke; 04-23-2012 at 11:48 PM.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the input.
I think I'm going to try out the SCF inventory manager. See if it'll work well for me.
Cheers!

Just waiting for the pricing guide add-on ;oP
Between SCF Inventory and Photobucket you should have everything you need!!!

Impressive. I was meaning to ask you during our trade, how long did it take you to enter all the cards?
Did you include your base cards too?
Pricing guide add-on would be sweet. I wonder if COMC.com adds the prices manually or if they can feed directly from beckett.
Thanks!
