    04-05 E-XL Essential Credentials Error?

I just picked up an 04-05 E-XL Essential Credentials Now Reggie Miller for my PC but the card does not have serial number.

The card has the color scheme of an ECN, even says so on the back of the card, and has a indentation for where the serial number should go, but there is no number.

Does anybody know if my card is a rare error card?

Good question, I have a Fleer Glossy Auto Rookie card # out of /500. But it's blank. Just shows " /500". So I'm interested to hear some responses. I'm thinking it has something to do with when these guys went under.

When fleer went bankrupt many unnumbered cards from their stock were auctioned and got onto the market, not rare, and many exist. Most collectors who know this stay away from these cards.

Thanks for the info. The card cost me approximately $3 as part of a lot, so it is still a welcome curiosity to my PC, even if not particularly rare or valuable.

My only remaining question is why do you think they were they produced in the first place. Why have a reserve of Essential Credentials cards that were never intended to reach the market - unnumbered - sitting in the back.
    Samples? Proofs?

To the gentleman who requested the scan, my printer/scanner/fax is causing me issues so it will be a while before I can add anything to my photo bucket.

We're you asking for a scan of the Reggie or just to see a card with the missing serial #. His scanner is down but I can show the RC I have.
