Personally, the player selection doesn't bother me all that much as long as the swatches are nice. Get rid of all the game used 1 cl cards and make products that focus on nice patches. Seriously, is there any desire for common jersey cards anymore????

If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times:
The Time for Product Adjustment Has Arrived

UD is the same isn't it? The only exceptions I can think of are Gretzky and Orr.
Since both UD & Panini have a license, they both have the full gamut of active players. The only difference is in their retired bunch. Off the top of my head they both have:
Lemieux, Yzerman, Howe, Beliveau, Clarke, bower, H. ricahrd, Roy, bossy bucyk, Hall, hull, dionne lafleur, bourque, esposito(s), and coffey. Some of those may even that may be stretching 'sweet'.

Frank how strong is the rumor about Ultimate and The Cup? Got that on a good source? Honestly not too surprised if its true since UD has been late on everything and The Cup BARELY made the deadline last year.

He made it up. ITG and Panini are going under according to rumours. UD will be the only card company out there. Topps is getting a license back next year.

LMAO!!! You are so funny with your constant ITG and Panini bashing! UD is horrible and they are getting what they deserve.

My hobby shop owner and I were talking...offered me some SPGU...and then chuckled...like it was a joke. He sold a box at 185, watched the guy open it, and apologized for the 5 game used cards and 1 auto/gu of a so-called 'star' player he had never heard of...HE APOLOGIZED for taking this guys money. I mean...UD made him feel bad for selling this ridiculously overpriced product. Wow...needless to say, stayed away. ITG breaks for me!

Yet another reason why spgu has to go. If I owned an lcs and saw a guy with a break like that I would offer him another free box of cards. A total joke of a product.

I was at my lcs looking at the display case, and the owner mentioned the new spgu was out, I just looked up and said "uh yeah I'll pass"

All Topps will have to do to corner the market is bring back Holo-foil Refractors and they will have the market to themselves.
The Topps/OPC Chrome Cards, Stadium Club Chrome, TGL, and Finest from 1994-2004 are still the best cards ever made.Last edited by centrehice; 05-19-2012 at 11:56 AM.
