Its time..need some UD redemption replacement advice! Been too long!
Hey guys, i've had a negative experience with ud replacements, so i'm hesitant to pull the trigger, but i doubt the cards i am waiting for will be made.
09-10 sp authentic Quad auto Bourne Potvin Fuhr Gretzky /10
09-10 sp authentic quad auto Mullen Murphy Lemieux Modano /10
09-10 sp authentic quad auto McInnis Glimour Roy Carbonneau /10
I planned on doing the subset, but gave up once i figured out that most of the cards never surfaced, and most are redemptions that will never be completed. I only wanted to do it for the HARD SIGNED factor, and i doubt UD would have any hard signed quad autos for me that would compare. What would you do? should i wait another year and a half, or hope they can give me something i actually would be happy with? I redeemed a 08-09 or 09-10 trilogy Howe Lindsay Delvechhio triple auto /10 that was "depleated" and in exchange they gave me 2 dual autos (one was a dual sticker) after i asked for one card that was hard signed in exchange. I have other redemptions i am waiting for that will complete tough subsets that i am praying will be made, but some have been in "production" for 3 years. I have no choice other than to wait and hope they make em. (example 09-10 ud the cup triple stanley cup signatures Yzerman Lidstrom Larionov) if they never make that card, the other 9 i own will be useless to me, because then my subset will never truely be completed.
Long story short do you think i should roll the dice and exchange the 3 quads and ask for only 3 or less hard signed quad autos? Or wait it out? I seen someone get a insane frozen foursomes in an exchange, maybe i'll finally get something good if i go for it! Let me know what you guys think! thanks!Last edited by Esposito08; 06-04-2012 at 09:45 PM. Reason: Mistake

Thats very tough thats some great names to have hard signed, I would wait at least 6 more months myself, the only way I would cash in for replacements is if you could legitimately pick your players or at least team that would be sent to you.

Awkward.
Maybe UD likes iidaemmi more than you?
Maybe a phone call reminder would help them put cards into envelopes.
Cheers,

Isaac, here's the best advice I can give on the matter. Make yourself a short list of acceptable players/combos/types of cards that you would want in return. Perhaps even write down 2-3 specific cards (do a bit of research for something similar to the cards you've got you're waiting on) - when you call UD ask to speak to a manager or someone that can authorize a replacement for very high-end cards. Be polite about it, obviously, but you can't expect that a regular CSA will be able to authorize you a (hypothetical) triple Gretzky/Howe/Lemieux auto to make up for one of these cards.
First I'd find out if the cards are being made (clearly the last one has) and if it turns out that they're not going to be created, that's when you go to the list. You know what you've got invested into these cards and what would constitute "similar value" best, so don't let them try to pawn off something of a lesser quality. If possible, get them to confirm for you EXACTLY what you'd get as a replacement as opposed to "we'll check through our XYZ stock and see what we can do."
Good luck.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Thanks for the advice! It is strange that you got yours, and i never got mine. I will do as you suggested and hopefully it'll work out. I will try today, when i get the replacements in i will share with you guys and see what they send. In the case of my trilogy triple auto, they likely gave my card to someone else as a replacement, since the stock was depleted once the card was redeemed. I also never came across the actual card tho, too bad i do not remember exactly which year of trilogy it was from.

I had these 2 show up, along with the one with Orr and Clarke, but sold the Philly Bruins one a while back

Yes, and this isn't the first one what I have seen, actually I have seen at least 4 copies and one card is just listed to the bay.
Call them.

That Quad with O'Reilly was what made me give up on my huge O'Reilly PC. I offered 5 dollars less than an offer a couple days after mine and never got a counter. Got so mad I missed out on it I gave up on my PC that was 75 % Complete including 1/1's. Painful memories! Good luck with those redemptions, hurst to lose out on hard signed cards of Gretz Mario and Roy.
