    Anybody every experianced lost mail?

I sent cash ttm to a wonderful trader here on SCF (who shall remain nameless, unless he wants to say who he his himself) about 3 weeks ago, all the way across the country and he has said it has not yet showed up, it's never taken this long for money to get to the end user, How do I contact Canada Post and try to rectify the situation, Its a couple cards that I need to finish off a set, and it wasnt cheap (mind you it wasnt overly expensive either). If anybody has experianced this, please contact me so my money shows up to my trade partner please, Thanks

I know the guy involved. It's happened to me a couple times where something gets stuff in the sorter. Knowing the poor sap you're dealing with the thing will arrive with what looks like a tire mark on it. I just hope that they get with the program because that dude likes to drink on the weekends and it's his allotted beer money.

They always say be wary of putting cash in the mail, but c'mon, the birthday card industry survives on grammas sending their grandsons and granddaughters cash-filled cards. I'd contact your local PO and find out if they had any other issues from mail that got shipped that day.

Do you think it'll ever turn up or is it lost forever?

And it is a small town of 200 people. I'm pretty sure I was the only mail in the slot that day... Or maybe even that week lol

I did have this happen to me twice actually. Once with a card going international and the other was shipping to another state within the US. I contacted the post office on both instances and had them start a "tracer" on them. Never heard anything about the one shipping internationally but did end up getting a package shipped back to me on the other one which contained my bubble mailer all smashed up and ripped open, but no card inside. I did make good on both deals with the other traders though. Kind of sucked.

Geez Eric! With all the Klassen's floating around Herbert, you would think they would have kept that town populated to over 200! And that's less the population than what Mortlach has now! What gives? haha

On a serious note though, I would do what Rich said, and check at the PO, and see if there is a record of sorting issues that happened that day from there. Your mail from there hits the sorting Facility in Regina, and then gets shipped out from there. Get them to check into the path it would have taken to get to it's destination.

Ha ha ya Brian I know there is a tonne of them. Actually what I did was mail the package from Morse because as you may knoow herbert doesn't have a bar so after work I ran to Morse grabbed a case of beer and put the package in the mail slot in Morse since I was there anyway. I guess I won't be doing that ever again lol

I didn't have this happen with cash but with a card I sold. It went missing until I almost reported the same one I sold the guy. He then "called Canada Post" and claimed it was coming in the mail. A little persistence goes a long way.

With today's mail system, anything rarely gets lost. If someone suggests that's it's lost, they're either lying (99%) or the item truly is lost (1%). One problem that I have experienced several times first hand is the post office not charging enough for shipping packages and having them returned to me.
