I have had it happen to me ALOT lately (like 6 times in the last 2 weeks).


Traders who hedge their bets by marking trades as completed but not leaving feedback until I've left mine.

Is my feedback going to affect your feedback?

Seriously, if I am the last one to mark a trade complete, I will leave the feedback immediately and I expect others to do the same.

From here on in, if anyone trades with me and are the last one to mark it as complete but DOES NOT LEAVE FEEDBACK, I will not be leaving any feedback either, or my feedback will be positive and blank (no comments)

i can sort of relate, i've sold quite a few cards and sometimes i've left feedback first and never receieved it back. It irked me in the past because i was trying to establish a reputation in my early stages so every feedback would have helped. Especially when it came to high dollar deals that i made sure to give the buyer the best experience possible. But oh well... now i just wait for others to leave feedback first.

I always leave feedback first if I receive first. Not a big deal. If you don't leave me feedback after I have done so for you, then I will let you know until you do.


What is worse? ...... 6 of the last 30 trades I have done, people sent me bashed cards. I know I'm older than almost anybody here, but I've been collecting cards longer than most have lived, and I can see fine, plus I'm fussier than just about anybody.

If I would NEVER accept a card from 1960 that has a bashed corner, why on Earth would I overlook your worthless Upper Deck Insert from after 2004 that has the corner semi-destroyed?

People that send damaged cards thinking that the other trader is not going to notice, need a slap.

You can't.

Both parties have to mark it as completed.

Once the second individual has marked it as complete, it requests that you leave feedback.

The situation I am speaking of is when the OTHER trader is the second to mark the trade as completed, but then they do not leave feedback immediately, but instead wait until I have left mine before leaving any. Basically, they are waiting to see what I write before they decide to write theirs, essentially, holding their positive feedback hostage, so that if I were to neg them for some reason, I could expect to be neg'd right back.

I miss leaving feedback because I delete those messages most of the time thinking I already responded. I'd rather have someone do that then forget to mark an item was shipped. I keep track of trades via excel so I know what went out when and when its coming in.

Fair enough. I leave feedback as soon as I am able to and see the deal is complete. It doesn't matter what feedback someone leaves me, it doesn't change what happened in the deal and what my feedback about it is.

Just by checking your feedback, I think I know here who you are referring to. I had the same with them, but it was no big deal.. Really! :/

Some people may have a bit of paranoia when it comes to feedback comments. If this were ebay I would have a bit more concern, but really! This is SCF!! What better place to call someone out for shenanigans in an "Open Forum" setting!
