Shipping charges on ebay

How much do you guys charge for shipping on ebay if you are shipping a single card? Does anyone print the shipping labels from ebay, or do you just use a stamp and address it yourself? I just use a stamp. The card is in a penny sleeve and a top loader and wrapped in bubble wrap and put in a envelope. I charge $2.50. Is that too much. I got a scathing email from a guy when he received a card he bought from me because he said i charged him way too much shipping and only used 1 first class stamp. I write in my description how much i charge and how i ship the card, so...........? Anyways, what do you guys charge, and how do you ship it? Thanks

if you charge $2.50 people typically expect it to be shipped in bubble envelope...If you print shipping from ebay they give you tracking for free. This same tracking at the Post Office would cost .85 cents at least for Delivery confirmation..

good point. Do you just tape the shipping label to the bubble mailer?

Personally, I think if you specify how you're shipping the card(s) in an auction it shouldn't matter how much you charge. Cardcollectorman is right though, a lot of people flip out about being charged a couple bucks for shipping when you use an envelope and a stamp. When I sell on ebay these days I just go with the free shipping option and add it into the price of the item. Ebay charges a final value fee on the shipping anyway so the fees come out the same.
If you use paypal shipping, which I do and I really like it, the postage is less expensive than going to the post office and as stated by cardcollectorman - delivery confirmation/tracking is free. I think it's $1.64 for a mailer up to 3 oz. Printing the label on regular paper and taping it on a bubble mailer is fine but don't tape over the bar code and be sure to mail the item the same day postage is purchased or the next day at the latest. I sell on amazon.com and have heard quite a few horror stories on the forums there about packages being returned because the person shipping them waited 2 or 3 days before dropping them in a postal box.

Yes, you just print it out and then tape it on, works fine.Just make sure to use strong tape, like packing tape so it does not fall off and tape all sides, also don't tape over the bar code....

For shipping in the US I charge $2.50 and ship all my cards in a bubble envelope with the shipping label taped to it. I also recycle bubble envelopes, every time I get a card in the mail I open the envelope carefully and peel of the shipping labels and then reuse them. Is a good way to save money.

Thats a good idea. already ordered some #000 bubble mailers. Anyone run across any problems of using stamps and people saying the never received their card, so paypal refunds their payment?
