A lebron and durant thread would've made much more sense to see who'd have a better career, since Duncan has already established his career with 4 NBA championship and 3 finals MVP. I still think durant and co will win the title this year, but when it's all said and done, no matter how great you become you'll be measured by the titles you won. If durant gets at least 3 titles and Im pretty sure he'll get reg. & Finals MVP's, then I'd say durant. Hopefully he stays injury free.

Apples to Oranges. Tim Duncan will go down as one of, if not the best power forward to the play the game. Durant should be compared to other players at his position.

2 totally different players. Duncan has had a very impressive career, one that will even be tough for Durant to match. Not talking stat wise, it will come down to their legacies.

Really?
How can you say that right now? Really? Duncan is one of if not the best PF of all time. Durant has three scoring titles but what else? Durant will truly need to become amazing to pass Duncan. Seems like many people take Duncan for granted.

This is coming from a HUGE Durant fan. To say that any player currently in the league is going to have a career as succsessful as Tim Duncan is crazy. The only other player who is even in the conversation is Kobe, but that is kind of a wash. Duncan has 4 Championships w/ 3 Finals MVPs and Kobe has 5 Championships w/ 2 Finals MVPs.
No doubt Durant has all the potential to be that caliber of player and I would love to see him go on to have an awesome and long lived career, but let's get Finals MVP under the belt before we consider that.
