I also agree nothing in my mind looks better than the Premiere Patch auto RC's #/10.

The acetate memorabilia cards from 03-04 were really sweet too. It was possible to see the 2 sides of the swatches in some subsets.

One of the top 3 cards in my Gorges collection for sure!

In Richard's ideal hobby world, we would have a combination of the best parts of Trilogy, Black Diamond, UD Black, and Ice in a single standalone product. It would be ridiculous and everybody would love it.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Would be my ideal world as well! Also if I could track down a Kulemin Ice Premiere Auto/Patch /10 it would make my top 5 Kulemin cards! They look so nice and I let the only one I've ever seen slip away a while back as the BIN price was around $150 so I didn't get it.

Funny, how everyone now says Ice was a great product and should be brought back as a stand alone, yet when it was released as a stand alone it was considered one of Upper Deck's biggest busts each year and did not sell well. There is a reason it was cut. The reason is because it was one of Upper Deck's worst selling products each year.

I was never a fan of Ice. I thought the content wasn't nearly good enough to warrent the price. If you pulled a RC /99 you were doing well.... and auto of Gretzky, Crosby, Howe, or Orr would be a nice hit too..... but for the most part, these boxes were a disaster.
That being said - it was one of their more unique products, and I don't understand why they scrapped it - in favour or SPx, SPGU, Black Diamond, etc. By limiting the products, they really have improved the content in most of their sets.

The product definitely looked nice but the valuation of the boxes were ridiculous. You could bring it back, but at a more sensible price.

Ouch. For a guy that is a bonafide NHL'er these days, that's a pretty good price. You never know for sure when it's still during their rookie years, though. I got my Gorges a couple years back and paid a smidge more than what that Kulemin was listed - actually put more into that than the Cup 1/1. LOL

I love Ice too. I wonder though if it was from a sales perspective that they cut it or a cost to produce it. I would imagine it would cost a considerably larger amount to produce.
