    Feedback on this site

OK so I completed a deal on this site. I went to go leave feedback for said deal, and it said that I had to complete the deal before I could leave feedback. It became apparent that I had to send a complete deal request to the seller and they must accept this before I leave feedback. Is this correct? If so, what's the point in having feedback if the seller can just reject the completed deal request?

Both parties have to mark the trade as "completed" before you leave feedback.

why would a seller do that if they are dishonest? or a buyer? and what is the point of having a feedback system if the seller and buyer can easily put a block on it?

They can't put a "block" on it. If one party is dishonest or does not mark their end of the deal as completed even though it has been, you just need to contact a moderator and we'll take care of it.

You need to look at the other side of the coin. If we allowed people to put feedback BEFORE both sides marked it as completed, then someone could leave you a negative just because they didn't receive their end of the deal within 4 hours or could leave you negative feedback when they haven't carried out their end of the bargain. It's a step by step process, and we don't allow EITHER PARTY to leave feedback until both people confirm that the deal is completed. Again, if the deal didn't get completed, you need to contact a moderator to get them involved.

Trust me, the way the system works is a result of YEARS of refinement, and is the best process as we see it. Welcome to the site!
