Ebay Shipping Charges
Is it wrong not to offer combined shipping on Ebay? If you advertise that you do not offer combined shipping, then when someone buys 4 of your cards, should you expect them to pay shipping for each item. Each item would be shipped individually. Is that unreasonable?

I have gotten pretty burned by box breaking auctions with shipping, but I do not believe it is wrong not to offer combined shipping if it is explicitly stated there is no combined shipping and they are still willing to buy all the cards.

why wouldnt you..it causes them to place more bids on more cards with combined shipping...only reason i can see for not combining is your greedy and want that extra dollar on every card for shipping (of course if you charge 3 bucks )

If it's not listed then contact the seller to inquire if they DO combine shipping on multiple purchases, don't just assume they do & then ding their DSRs because you didn't ask. If I was the seller I sure would because they (eBay) applies the FVF to shipping as well now.

Part of the buyer's responsibility is to know the conditions. Nothing should be assumed and that's where buyers get agitated. One seller is not like the other. That being said, if you pay individual shipping costs, the packages should be mailed separately. I wouldn't assume it though. Message the buyer to know for sure or demand it if you want the seller to use your money on separate shipping.
You always have the option to slam them on shipping. Or pay for one at a time. Wait for one to be shipped and then pay for the next one

I am the seller. I am fairly new to selling and i do not combine shipping. I don't sell a whole lot and most go for $0.99. I charge $2.50 shipping with a shipping label and tracking number. Until recently i never had someone purchase more than one of my items at a time. Then someone bought multiple items and then inquired about combined shipping after winning the bids. I felt like since i did not advertise combined shipping that i did not need to offer it, BUT i did for that customer. Afterwards i advertised in every listing that i DO NOT offer combined shipping. Some guy just won 4 bids and wants me to combine shipping for him. I would rather just ship all four individually and charge individual S+H. Is this wrong of me? It is stated that i do not offer combined shipping in every single listing.

If you don't combine shipping then I think the eBay etiquette would be to ship every item individually even though bought by one buyer, you'd be wasting more money that way well with supplies & such or you can start saying in the listing ".25 cents for each card after the first."

So i would actually be saving money if i combined shipping? technically you would save on bubble mailers. As far as shipping weight if you do combine shipping goes, is it one ounce per card? So if the guy bought 4 cards, i would select 4oz on the weight?

If shipping through paypal it's $1.64 for up to 3 ounces with DC# included, each ounce is .17 cents there after until 13 ozs. Not sure how much at the Post Office cause I ship through paypal but PO is more expensive I know. You can do 10 cards for 3 ounces if it's only in penny sleeves, in a team bag with protection on both sides.
