Crosby YG no longer the king of YGs?
I know its hard to compare the 2, as the Crosby there is prob 10,000+ YGs ..... while Nash is SP
But heres the last raw Nash YG

Makes these 2 looks like steals:
BGS 9.5

PSA 10

While some Crosby YGs are going higher, at a quick glance it looks like they average out in the $200 range

I know I know, Nash is hot because he was just traded, his YG is a SP from a very popular set and is no where near as available as the Crosby YG ...... just kinda neat to see someone elses YG on the Crosby YG level.
Sid still has him in graded sales though .....
On a side note ...... I sure hope the season starts =(

Makes the one I bought 2 years ago (for less than half that) look like a steal!
Those cards are still very tough to find, and there are still people doing the sets. No doubt that the trade sparked some interest in his cards..... but it was selling high, on a regular basis, anyway. Maybe not quite that high, but high.
IMO, the grading anything less than 10 does nothing to help Nash's value - becuase people doing the set want to store / display the card with the others. I know when I was looking for one, I avoided graded cards. Zero interest in one that was graded 9.5..... wanted the raw card.
Zetterberg (from that set) has also been going crazy the last while. That's the last one I need for my set, but I refuse to pay the $150+ that it's been selling for.

I also need the Zetty from that set, but the price is outrageous.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but why are the YG's from 02/03 so rare compared ot other years?

some of them were extra short printed, 1 per case I believe for the ssp cards.

I recently picked up the Exclusives /75 version of both the Zetty and Nash for less than the regular versions have been selling for. I'm glad to see these are still holding their value. The last Nash Exclusives /75 that I saw on eBay sold for an obscene amount of money. That was shortly before his trade to the Rangers which may only help his cards.

02-03 Young Guns were only found 3 per Hobby and 2 per Retail Box.
What do you get now 6 and 4 I believe.

This. There are 6 per box now versus 3-4 before. Out of those boxes, 1 of the Young Guns was a short print with some seemingly popping up way more than others. I remember pulling countless Alexei Smirnov and PM Bouchards before I finally hit a couple decent ones like a Zetterberg and a Hemsky. Out of about 14 boxes, I never hit a Nash or a Zetterberg.

Me as well. I think I pulled a few Mark Hartigan, Lynn Loyns and assorted bums.
I did get 2 Spezzas out of the same retail box, mind ya, and sold them immediately for way too much money.
