Obama WINS 2nd Debate!
CNN poll of registered voters WHO WATCHED said by 46-39 that Obama won debate. #cnndebate
Of course, now the GOP will claim it's all lies and it was actually a Tie or a Romney win
Anyways, I was VERY HAPPY to see Obama on the offensive in this debate and as long as he keeps this up, he should be re-elected with a nice margin.
Overall, I knew Obama would come out swinging and it's important for him to CALL OUT Romney on all of his disgusting lies!

MSNBC poll had it 58-31 for Obama I believe as well. CNN only polls "likely voters" while MSNBC polls "undecided voters"... so you decide on that one

I actually watched this one and what I saw was Romney starting strong and then becoming combative, condescending and disruptive when Obama (finally) challenged him. By the end Romney looked flustered and defeated, though I do think he did a decent job with what the party has given him to work with.
With that said Obama wasn't perfect. His argument about Benghazi was weak at best and it showed. Romney, however was caught misrepresenting the facts on oil drilling on federal land. It wasn't an outright lie to say drilling on federal land is down 14%, but it was pretty darn close.
At any rate I thought overall both candidates actually represented themselves well and it was a good debate.

I'm sure the GOP will say something about the "Liberal media" making that up as well.
Anyways, this was a clear cut win for Obama for me, and for anyone that thinks that I'm being biased, I thought it was a clear cut win for Romney on the first one, so don't tell me anything!
Obama was strong and he made sure to call Romney out on his crap and I loved those moments, that's what he DIDN'T do the first time.Last edited by pghin08; 10-17-2012 at 09:27 AM.

CNN just admitted their poll featured "more republicans than the actual national break down"... meaning MSNBC's poll is more realistic

I thought it was pretty much a draw. Both sides made good points and both sides had a few goofs.

^That didn't take long.
When the GOP wins THEY WIN!
When a Dem wins....it's a "Tie".

Quote isn't for me so to JustAlex...
when the first debate was over MSNBC went nuts saying Obama "didn't show up" and admitted he lost the debate...
tonight? Fox News is busy spinning away (hannity flat out lied about a fact) and they are trying hard to call it a "tie"... that's a major difference there.. Democrats are much, much more bluntly honest than republicans. Your house could be on fire and a republican would try to convince you it's just getting a little warmer if it was a political need for them.

Romney clearly won the first debate. Virtually nobody will argue otherwise. You cannot say that either won this one convincingly.
As for the drilling issue that wickabee mentioned, romney said drilling was down 50% on federal land. that's not too far from the truth. offshore leases are down 60% from the last 3 years of gwb, and onshore leases are down about 1/3 under obama vs. last 3 years under gwb. it has been well-documented obama is no friend of the oil/coal/gas industry. to hear him act as if he is was downright laughable.

got quote working again good...
If you can't admit that Obama won this debate.. you are just a shill sir. When romney interupted the president he lost, when he interupted the moderator, he made it worse... when he F'd up his own facts... he just ruined the entire night for himself. Everything else is a red herring. "virtually nobody will argue otherwise"... unless you are watching fox news lol
