You seem to be interjecting government in a place where many people wouldn't want it. Plus I'm going to guess that the majority of people married know who the father of their kid is. If you had sex with 100 people on the day you conceived you probably aren't married and probably shouldn't be unless you have a very open minded partner.

I don't even know why you would think there would be a punishment for the mother since there is no law broken.

Most married guys who wives run around on them generally have no idea. Granted most married couples have and raise their kids with incident but what about the rare occasions where some guy marries a "loose" woman. Should the child suffer by not knowing his biological father. Also adultrey is a violation of the marriage agreement in every state in the union so if a woman has a baby with a man who is not her husband she has violated a marital law. If she has him taking care of a child that his not his I'm sure some type of civil law has been violated. It is time that we start cracking down on these types of women who make it bad for the rest of the world.

I'm pretty sure there is no penalty for breaking a marital law.

Children already suffer because they don't know who their father is but the majority of that issue comes from unwed mothers. Seems like you could accomplish more tackling that problem rather than a smaller one. I agree that somebody shouldn't have to fund a kid that isn't theirs so suing them to get back monetary loss would probably be the route to go rather than a government controlled initiative.

Also I'm pretty sure breaking a marital law has no current consequences.

Yeah as far as I know there is no current law to punish women like this but their shood be. Also most of these women who pull scams like this are broke as a joke anyway so what is they guy who get scammed is going to get out of suing them?

I see what you are saying but using that logic there is no incentive for a woman to put a baby on a guy just for his money or whatever agenda she has. You are both right I usually don't like the gov't all up in my business but this is a time where I would rather have them involved in the front end in order to avoid a nightmare may years later.

Who was it who said "government has no place in the bedrooms of the nation."

Was that Trudeau? Habs, help me put here.
