I don't think anyone is ignoring the 1st half of it. The courts have ruled that it is not relevant to the common man's right to defend himself with a firearm.Drug and smoke free trading.

That is ignoring it. It says nothing about the commonan, but if you ignore the first half, then everybody gets a gun!
It's kinda stupid.

I don't think that the founding fathers or our current gov't intended for everyone to have a firearm. The laws were designed for able bodied men of sound mind do be able to defend their household and families with a firearm if one chose to. Those who do not believe in guns are under no obligation to own one. With a little bit of common sense from both sides we as a society can continue to be able to do so.

I personally don't believe in hunting but that has nothing to do with the second amendment I will leave that for another debate. Yes able bodied and sound mind womet should be able to bare arms to defend themselves if they chose to do so. Also if you are in a wheel chair but are of able body and sound mind to possess and use a firearm then I'm all for it.

you should be able to hunt at any age with your family
any sound minded woman should be able to own a gun
and sound minded disabled people should be able to own a gun
or you just want criminal to own them?
or laws to have them locked down in your own home where they offer no help when needed?
why can't a 15 year old hunt with their family?
