Need Advice Regarding Jordan Autograph
Hi Everyone:
In the midst of selling off a large Basketball Collection for a friend. I am a 50 year Hockey collector, consequently - limited knowledge of Basketball.
I have this card - In Person Auto of Micheal Jordan - see scan. I believe it's a Promo Card from 1986 - Not sure who even makes it. Pristine Mint Condition.
Questions:
1. Is This Card Worthwhile in sending in to PSA for DNA Certification.
2. What might it sell for with PSA/DNA Certification?
3. What might it sell for without any PSA/DNA Certification
Here is the card showing both front and back scans:

Any advice in the regard to the above would be greatly appreciated. If you want to send me PM you can as well, or just leave your comments in the thread. Any advice is greatly needed !!
Cheers!
Tim

Although I'm in no way an expert regarding basketball, I have dealt in autographs for a while and assuming that you're sure it'll come back authentic I do think its worth it to send it in. Just my .2

I agree with darkshadow. I have no knowledge of the card but its cool looking and the backs pretty funny. If I was looking at this on eBay (for instance) raw I would assume the auto was fake (no offence). So I would get it slabbed even if you only authenticate the auto.

I would third this, if you are looking for top dollar, especially on a Jordan, I would send it in to make sure it is authentic, the price difference with an IP opposed to certified authentic is huge.
Prices are really all over the place with his sig......if I had to guess, I would say a PSA/DNA would go for 170 to 300 whereas a IP would realistically go for 50 to 80 at best.
Hope this helps........

Thanks fellas. We had initially decided that we would probably get this verified. I'm not much of a grading kind of person, but with this type of card, It always will net a little more cash on resale.
I have other Jordan cards, Gatorade Star Set that I will also post with your advice again needed.
I thank you all, very, very much. It helps to ask those in the know.
Cheers!

Nope. This is not my card. It's a friend who is 70 years of age. I'm selling off his large BBall collection for him as he deemed it's time for him to move on. He is not a Blog Trader, nor is he an eBayer, hence my reason for asking all of you folks for advice.
