Hell

I was reading one of those free JW magazines that the people on the subway give out and they had an article about hell. With all that has been going on in the world with the bombings, child killings, the woman in Arizona who killed her b/f, cops murdering kids, racial hatred, etc hell would be a fitting punishment for some people. However in the magazine I was looking at the JWs said that the fire and brimstone hell does not exist and that when you die if you are unworthy God will simply destroy you and your soul and you will cesase to exist. Most christians as well as most muslims believe that if you don't follow their version of their chosen religion to the tee you are dammed to hell forever and ever no matter how good of a person you are. I even had a brother who was muslim tell me that certian people were created for the hellfire. Here is my spin on it. I do believe in heaven or hell but I do not believe that God will sentence an overall good person to hell simply for following the "wrong religion" while letting a complete jerk get into heaven for making a deathbed confession. I think that hell is reserved for people who hurt kids, terrorists, racists, rapists, people who abuse animals and old folks and the scum of the earth. If you have a good heart, love God, do right by your family and community you will get into heaven regardless of what religion you follow. What are your thoughts?

I would think that if you are an atheist but are not a bad person per se if you didn't believe in God when you die you would simply cease to exist. That's just my spin on it no one really knows one way or the other.

Hell with that. I would rather exist in Hell than not exist at all. Save me a seat by Manson and Dahmer.
