I didn't really feel like the colour was off, but I did however notice something strange in this picture:

I think it's weird how there seems to be more space between the jersey and the surface of the card on the right side of the window compared to the left. Look at the shadow that's cast as well - to me it seems fishy, as the people at Upper Deck usually do a pretty good job at making sure that the whole jersey/patch is properly placed inside the cards and doesn't "fall out halfway through".
With that being said, I agree with the others who have said that you should definitely do a background check on the seller prior to purchasing a card like this. It's a big indicator.

Who cares if its re-patched? That is, does it matter if Upper Deck puts a piece of a non-game worn (fake) jersey in the card or whether a collector does it? As long as the auto is legit and the serial number is legit, and you are happy with the aesthetics and whatever happiness you derive from the card, it shouldn't matter where the jersey came from or how it got there. Sure, it is fraud on part of the re-patcher and the seller (But only if the seller knew it was a re-patched card and did not disclose it), and there is nothing good about that, but if it makes you happy to have it as a part of your collection, then big deal and don't lose sleep about it.

What's the deal with so many collectors acusing Upper Deck of using fake patches in their cards? Sure, sometimes they use photoshoot jerseys and such, so they're not game-used; however, when it says "game-used" on the back I trust that it actually is.
But I do agree that if you as a collector paid a certain price for a card and you believe the patch is legit, it technically is legit in your eyes.

But it does matter, it's one thing if Upper deck uses a photo shoot jersey in their cards, atleast that jersey was worn by the player at some point, even if it wasn't in a game. It's quite another if some moron, just pulls a jersey out of his closet and slaps it on a card that he than sells for a couple hundred bucks. If I'm shelling out big money for a card like that I'd want to know that it's 100% legit, I'd prefer a legit white patch over a fake 3-4 colour patch.

is there any youtube showing how these patched cards are altered?
I just find it very hard to believe that it can be done without wrecking the card

If there is, it isn't allowed on SCF. While it may peek curiosities, we don't want others to learn from it as fake patching and other shady practices must be elimitated from the hobby.

Okay, so I get it. The value of a Pogge /99 is in the auto and the serial numbering. Maybe my opinion of "player-worn" jerseys is skewed because I read this article:

I mean look at Ingram wearing 17 jerseys at once. Not something I'd pay a premium for, ever.
