Nobody said a word during the group submissions when all cards were sent in top loaders.

The Insurance alone will kill you along with a shipping price somewhere over $20.00
THEN
You have to convince Canada Customs that is is personal property being returned to you if Beckett misses this. I had a few cards graded years ago when I lived in Canada, and got into some Battle Royals with the Douane over them trying charge me Import Duties on my own property.
Slippery slope.

Card saver sandwich between layers of cardboard.Do not use bubble enveloppe to ship, use a box.Used a bubble enveloppe once on a small sub and the Kane ultimate rookie in there came back creased bad.
You can insure your package for full value on the way there, but put a low declare value on the BGS submission form. The cost of shipping back to you will be less and if you put 1$ value on your submission form for the Crosby you shouldnt have trouble with customs if they forgot to stamp the package `canadian returned goods`.If you put the full value on the BGS submission form, shipping cost back to you is higher `insurance` plus you might have custom fees to pay.
Keep your shipping bill, that way if you get hit with custom fees you can make a chargeback to customs, your shipping bill is your only proof that the items where yours before they crossed the border. They might taxe you on the service but cant on the declared valueLast edited by Dr Kicker; 06-22-2013 at 04:36 PM.

I'd be VERY surprised if a KSA 9.5 came back to you as a BGS 9.5. If your concerned about cost which you appear to be, before trying with BGS, examine the card very carefully for any type of flaws and I'd suggest using a 10X loop (magnifier) to look at the card if you're seriously hoping for a BGS 9.5. I know the card being encased in plastic won't help, but I'd still try.

I notice that KSA grades the card 9.5 'NGM' which I am guessing means 'Near Gem Mint'. I have never sent in a card for grading but I suspect that a KSA 9.5 'Near Gem Mint' will NOT receive a BGS 9.5 Gem Mint grade.

Does anyone actually pay a premium for KSA grades? I personally would not. Crack that puppy open and send it "raw" to BGS!

Would you think a top loader taped at the top between two pieces of cardboard would be fine? And what about if the card gets lost on the return and you have no insurance on them? SO MANY WORRIES I HAVE!!

I have sent toploads with tape (use painters masking tapee) to BGS, no problem, they prefer semi-rigid over toploads, do not send screwdowns.
Recently submitted a PSA 10 to grade BGS 9.5 or leave in slab, received a card does not meet the requirements to meet 9.5 back. Just my two cents, don't know much about KSA, but crossovers aren't easy. BGS will charge I think $7 to crack original case in addition to all other charges if the card would grade. Looking at a Minimum of $8 for the card on a group submission, $7 cracking case, shipping to, which could be $5-10 or less, return shipping to Canada which I think is about $7 minumum. Plus intermittant shipping to a group which will cost maybe another $6-10. You're probably looking at a minimum of $40 possibly $50.
