    Expo Cards:

I apologize if there is another thread on this topic. I've been collecting for numerous years now and they are starting to appear more in my search for players in my PC collection. Ive tried searching for an answer but haven't gotten anywhere. I figured id have more luck just asking haha. Is an expo card a reprint of a previous set? or is it a true original with an expo stamped on the card afterwards?

    Thanks for the help!

Generally ITG redemptions at card shows are cards that were made for the set, then taken and stamped with the particular show name ie Spring Expo, Chicago National etc.

Im not sure about the other companies, or if other companies even stamp the show name on the card?

That isn't exactly true anymore, the redemptions for this year's Forever Rivals & Superlative & Ultimate were new creations for the shows. I've got redemptions as far back as 96/97 International Ice that were new cards. I believe that the show stamped reguilar set cards ended around the same time ITG lost its NHL license.

Panini's redemptions are all-new stuff, annnddd I have no idea what Upper Deck does to be honest.....

I understand what you are saying, those sets you listed were new creations, but they also weren't stamped show 1/1. I think that is what the original question was. All or most of the cards stamped Expo 1/1 were regular cards that were then stamped.
