    Angry Jordan RC Card Bidding...

    Hi Guys,

This is my first time starting a topic on the forum. I almost(!!!) won a Jordan rookie on ebay, but got outbid last minute by $10! :(

I was hesitant to bid any higher than $600 since this card was not graded and the pictures were blurry. Based on your expertise, do you think I missed out on a steal or did I save myself the troubles of acquiring a fake?

    Thanks for the input!

    John

In my opinion, people who own legitimate versions get them graded. Poor-conditioned authentic version of this card go for hundreds so why not spend the $15 to get it graded. Whether this one is fake or real is not my call to make but if you are going to drop $500 on a card, get a lower-quality graded one that has been verified.

I am pretty sure that this card and the Gretzky RC are two of the most faked cards on the market. Proceed with caution on both and buy only verified versions. Again, all of this is IMO.

Saved yourself a headache or two. Wouldn't even touch that auction.

Better to get an authentic graded copy than to try and snag an ungraded one for a steal and have it end up being a fake. Just not worth it in this case.

I would only buy a graded Jordan rookie to be honest.

It looks fake to me. You are lucky you didn't win.
