Become an internet Cop. It's that simple. Can't get into the RCMP? No problemo, hire on as an internet Cop so that you have a way to manifest power.

20 years for firing a gun in which no one was hurt. And this is "got what she deserved"? You guys are ridiculous. Let's use that standard for all other forms of crime. Sometimes I swear you guys are shareholders of a huge prison conglomerate.

If people use a weapon to possibly harm someone, irresponsibly, they should be held to a higher standard.

If she was looking to harm someone she would have. At the end of the day. She diffused the situation without anyone (herself included) getting hurt. That sounds responsible to me.

What's your sentence for a drive by shooter who fails to kill anyone? 400 years?

She could have killed someone else. She didn't deserve "attempted murder" and a 20 year sentence, but she didn't deserve to go completely free either.

I wouldn't have a problem with a drive by shooter getting a harse sentence.

In some cases, before using force that is likely to cause death or serious bodily harm to the aggressor, a person who is under attack should attempt to retreat or escape, but only if an exit is reasonably possible. Courts have held, however, that a person is not required to flee from his own home, the fenced ground surrounding the home, his place of business, or his automobile.

I do not think it reasonable to retreat to a garage and get a gun, follow a "criminal" with a gun, or confront a criminal with a gun for the average person in a civilized society. I really don't care what the courts say. It is strange. Walk away from a situation you don't have to be in or face the consequences, especially, if you have a weapon.

Anytime you shoot a gun at somebody from a moving vehicle, your intent is not to miss.

My point was, what is a reasonable sentence for it if a lady gets 20 years in her circumstances?
