It was a fluke accident, but if disgusting means "arousing revulsion" as defined by Websters to y'all, then Clint Malarchuk getting his neck opened up by Steve Tuttle in 1989 fits right in...........

And speaking of Mutant Chara, don't forget that Bruins goon Eddie Shore whacking poor Ace Bailey!!

That's a clean hit that he threw on Mark Eaton. Eaton was an Islander at the time. One of the least respected teams in the NHL. Now if it was reversed, Eaton would be banned from hockey. As for the Letang hit, he deserved it for all his classless acts. ™™™™ foots and cheap shots but no calls.

^ interesting perspective...another nasty classless cheap shot that comes to mind is Messier's "skate by" KO elbow to the chin of an unsuspecting Modanno....to ad insult to injury the paramedics dropped the gurney and M.M fell off it....Oy!

in a playoff game a couple years ago, NJ and the leafs with about a minute to play Domi suckered Niedermayer with an elbow that rocked! (never liked the classless niedermayer). but the disgusting part was that Scott Stevens was in the penalty box at the time and he was livid at Domi, making threats and lotsa tough talk.but when he had the chance to back it up he wussied up and wouldnt have nothing to do when Domi. Stevens was always a cheap shot guy, loved to hit from the blindside and a big turtle himself, wouldn't fight just grab you and hang on.

Darren McCarty got him back not once but twice. Can you believe that Claude did not turtle the second time around?
