I am a high school teacher and today at 9:11 AM we had a wonderful ceremony in front of the school where the entire school (1100 students) stood silently in a circle as the flag was raised and our JROTC led a moment of remembrance.

I can't take credit, I was an observer, but I was proud of our student body. With 1100 teens I feared the worst, but they stepped up and showed respect for the moment.

My feelings on who was responsible aside I would like to take a moment of silence and pay tribute who the first responders, everyone who lost their lives or were injured that day because of the attacks as well as everyone who was killed or injured because of the resulting wars.

Amazing how many gave their lives for others without a fear of losing their own.At this point makes you proud to be American for most

I had kind of a frustrating day.....I worked in the WTC on that day and lucky and blessed in many ways. I know it is 12years later and memory has faded for a lot of folks, but is it too much to ask for some mention or moment of silence in the government building I work in. I am not saying we should walk around solemn all day, but this us not simply another day. I now work in DC and was shocked about the lack of reverence for the day.....I realize I am a bit over-sensitive, but the people who lost their lives that day and beyond deserve better.....
