This is one of my beefs with ITG - too many "similar" cards, many being low numbered. For example
{Insert Player} Jersey Silver #'d to 19
{Insert Player} Jersey Gold #'d to 9
{Insert Player} Patch Silver #'d to 19
{Insert Player} Patch Gold #'d to 9
{Insert Player} Number Silver #'d to 19
{Insert Player} Number Gold #'d to 9

That's eight cards for one player. All same design, photo, etc...just a different swatch and foil

At least the Pacific Paramount cards were achievable. While serial numbered, they were plentiful enough that you could get your hands on one.

Yes...I have run into the same issue with my Marcus Foligno PC. He has the same thing going on with numbers, emblem, jerseys, etc...I have managed to land a number, jersey, jersey silver...and I think that is about it. Almost impossible, considering the print run...but hey...makes the chase all that more...interesting? I guess...challenging? is what it is. Happy with the cards I have found in ITG H&P.

This has basically been going on since 1996 though. Loads of parallel cards.


I'm surprised in the origional post that all the cards are pretty much the same. I would have thought that the "base" GU cards, Subway Series, and Top Prospects would have all been different photos. I'm not too familiar with Kassian stuff, but I know for the players in that set I went after, each "type" of card was unique looking, though there were lots of parallels made.

There's 31 different versions of Ryan Kesler's 10/11 Certified #143. That's 3% of his entire print run :)

its not just Kassian, its every single player lol. Parallels have got out of hand, but hey, keeps us chasing right?

Certified was definitely the worse offender to this problem.

Some people like parallels while others don't. I don't mind them as long as they are attainable. Too many low numbered cards that are game used and autographed is basically pointless in my opinion and with all the different colors and combos the companies are really testing it with parallels these days it seems. It was much better when they made original inserts instead of just being lazy and doing parallels.
