Anyone get a replacement for a Brodeur from Panini?

I've had a request for patch auto /49 from Limited since March and nothing yet. Anyone else waiting on anything Brodeur from Panini? I know cup gave out replacements already, and I've seen some nice ones, but how does Panini handle them? I would rather get the actual Brodeur if possible, but if they do replace them, do I get to pick a player for my collection or am I just given another random from the same subset?
I would hate to get someone I don't collect, when I could have sold the redemption for 50 bucks.

**oops, I meant to post in hockey card talk, sorry mods!

Usually it's not an exact science when it comes to redemption replacements - they may ask you for your favourite team and/or players, and issue something of comparable market value. Could be a guy from your team, might be an equal calibre star player. Hope it goes well for you.

Thanks, I really hope they at least contact me if they're gonna send a replacement so I can pick a player. I think I chose the longest wait time, but it doesn't say how long is left before they will replace it or anything. Maybe I should take the initiative and contact them first. I just wish I knew if he was gonna sign for panini, I thought the UD story was that the cards got lost by the manager or something? Anyone know anything about the deal with Panini?

In my years of experience dealing with UD/Panini, they NEVER contact you first about a replacement.

The 4-8 month window Panini has is for you as the redemption holder to give them a timeframe for fulfilling the redemption. If the window passes, you are able to then contact them to request replacement. They may otherwise just let it sit in the queue until the cards get signed & returned.

I have one from Dominion (Last years) for Karlsson. I entered it last November.

The only time I have received a replacement from Panini they told me they could only replace from cards that they have opened in the sample breaks. They said everything is packed out so they don't have "stock" to replace from. This was the first year so it may have changed

That seems reasonable, I honestly don't mind waiting, I would really like to get the actual Broduer card, but I get the feeling that he doesn't like signing too much haha.

That could be awesome or terrible. I thought they repacked their sample breaks? That's what they said during last years dominion and prime previews anyway.

I ended up getting a box of contenders as my replacement (A numbered Hossa jersey without the number).
