Where do you get your information from?

Let's all be civil and truthful, and just state where do we get your political insight from? Let's not bash each other over our views in this thread. Just state your sources of your political insight. This may be help everyone understand where others are coming from. This also may help others into gaining better information on both sides.

I may listen to a little bit of Glenn Beck and maybe even a little bit of Rush, but I take what they say with a grain of salt. They are a little over the top at times.

I goto Foxnews.com and Cnn.com daily to see what both sides have to say about certain issues. Kind of funny some times how divided they are on issues..

But there is one man in the Mainstream Media that I recommend everyone listen to.

    Sean Hannity.

I enjoy listening to his show for a few reasons.

    1. He has debates over everything major topic with people on both sides of the issues, so the average listener can hear both sides of the issue, and not just one biased side of the issue.

    2. He brings multiple different congressman and senators on his show.

    3. He wants to hear from you the listener, and your views no matter what side your on. He welcomes criticism.

With everything I stated above, I can believe in most of what he says of being factual. He opens the entire show up for people to call, welcomes both parties views, and welcomes criticism.

Morning Joe for my daily dose of liberal nonsense in the am. Drudge report and twitter for news. I'll watch O'Reilly at night occasionally. Not a fan of any of the other pm talking heads. Haven't given Megyn Kelly's show a watch yet, but she is very good. Occasionally I'll scour the blaze. it's truly the only news outlet I trust these days. Listen to local news talk on my morning drive.

I get my info from whatever source I find it. I don't watch any of the talking heads, they're little information, lots of opinion, and I can form my own opinion without them telling me what it should be. This forum actually provides a healthy chunk of my actual information.

The closest I come to talking heads is John Stewart and Stephen Colbert. They occasionally tell me about something I didn't know was going on, but I watch them to laugh.

Daily Kos, Mother Jones, Huffpo, Ezra Klien, Maddow, Ed Schultz

    Gross.

Crickets? I've not encountered a person on here that makes more stuff up than you. I'm not the one running around with outlandish claims that wars create millions of NEW Jobs, not existing jobs, new ones, then have the audacity to post no concrete facts to back it up, other than to only say that they live in a city with a base, and the city has grown in leaps and bounds.

Don't start ludicrous posts like this one, when you are at the top of the list at not providing sources for your ridiculousness.

I will say, I read the BC edition of HuffPost on my FaceBook. If one was to research my comments, one would find I'm not a fan.

They are, however, better for provincial news (Amber Alerts, major happenings, etc) than most BC news sites. For their political and social commentary though, they are ridiculous. In the last provincial election (you'll love this, GroundSupport) the Leftist "NDP" party made a big deal about how they would not run a smear campaign against the right wing "Liberal" party (we also have a Conservative party. I think they're right wing, but they're such a joke* this province is basically as two-party as the US) only to brazenly have HuffPost do it for them. It was disgusting politics, and a huge reason I always vote Liberal** or Green.

    * - Just as an example, on election day the NDP leader flew to every corner of the province, the incumbent Liberal leader spent her time in various municipalities across the most populated area of the province and the Conservative leader drove a truck through one of those municipalities. I'm not saying I'm against frugality, I'm just saying, driving a pickup through town might not be the image you want to portray when try to attain power.

** - You read that right. Provincially speaking, I usually vote for the right wing party. Federally I always vote Green because the other parties spend way too much time inspecting their own rectums.
