Cutting down from 18 packs to 12 packs is a good thing. If correct there should only be around 2 "all base, no hits" packs.
Ill assume the price point will stay the same

Price point is $98 presell on Steel City Collectibles site. I was hoping for a lower box price. If they stick with under 35 Rookie Jersey Autos like in years past then this product can be very solid. If they advance the checklist to 50-70 Rookie Jersey Autos then this product will go down the tubes. I got burned by select because the rookie auto checklist was 80+ way too many duds.
I like the look and hopefully the added trilogy rookies bring some more value.Flickr: Hidden Content

Forget everything in this product except the 96-97 retro autos.
I collect Matt Dzieduszycki, Derek King, Pierre Turgeon (Isles only), Zigmund Palffy (Isles only) plus specific current Isles (mainly Wahlstrom, Dobson, Barzal, Beauvillier, Pulock)

Do you remember Ice? The average Ice box is much more horrible than the average SPx box

I'd take 6 mediocre Ice rookies over a bunch of cheap-looking inserts and jerseys. Plus the Ice all acetate sets were awesome.

Exactly and they could just redo it like they did game used and trilogy and throw in a few sets from spx in ice instead, the hardsigned cards in ice were really nice looking no lame sticker autos nothx.
