Yeah, I don't think Skinner's even close to being considered for this team.

All the talk now is Joe Thornton not being on the team. He has the most assists in the NHL this year. This may turn out to be another Bobby Ryan episode.

No Thornton, St. Louis or Claude Giroux.

Overall, I think they made good enough picks.

Not exactly what I would have done though:

    - Seabrook instead of Hamhuis and the defence is perfect
    - Add Giroux and St. Louis, at the expense of Nash & Carter.

Not sure that I'd take Jamie Benn or Patrick Marleau either, but dislike those picks as much as Nash & Carter.... and there isn't another guy (after St. Louis / Giroux) that I really felt needed to go.

The choice of Marleau surprised me.

I wasn't surprised about Hamhuis, though. He's played recently in the World Championships and did well, and I know that Yzerman has been watching that tournament.

    Hamhuis is the only surprise.
too many natural centres on the team. Crosby, Getzlaf, Tavares, Toews, Marleau, Duchene.
That's my only beef - delete Marleau and Duchene and add Taylor Hall and Lucic
Couture would not have made it anyway.

    Wow, Canucks haters everywhere PBBFFTTTT!!!

Let's not forget that, barring injuries, a few of these guys aren't going to see much ice time (Nash, Carter, Vlasic, Hamhuis) so what difference does it make? Are St Louis and Giroux better than the guys in the four lines they have? Benn is great when he's on his game and Marleau fills up a lot of that extra ice with his mass :D

    Jeff Carter? - No way.
Chris Kunitz? Yzerman duped into providing Crosby with a Nanny when he does not need one. Kunitz better do something other than take stupid penalties.
    No Lucic? No Surprise.
Marleau - Surprised but he does play well Internationally

Big surprise for me is no St. Louis, Thornton, or Giroux.
