Hi, new to the site.
AWESOME SITE

I've been out of the hobby for awhile now, and am just getting back into it a little.

I've been looking for some time for a way to list all my sports cards so that I can search, sort, etc. without creating an excel sheet and having to do a lot of tedious typing. So I finally found this site. I am mainly here for the inventory portion, but am starting to get interested in some trading.

I've done very little buying and selling on Ebay but would like to learn more about how trading works on this site.

I save all my Dallas Cowboys cards and any Michael Jordan cards I find. I also have a Nolan Ryan (BV 150.00) which was a gift from my brother so I will be keeping that one also.

It just bothers me how things are now in the card industry. It's hard for kids to get into it like I used to. (I'm 41)
When I was a kid, we didn't have autos and memorabilia. It was just plain straight up cards and if you got a star player, it was worth something. Now even if you get a rookie of a star player, it's nothing without the auto or patch. Man, I miss the way it was before inserts. I remember keeping them in an old shoe box and would take a few out and put a rubber band around them to take to school and trade at school. Lost a few good Pete Rose and Ricky Henderson rookie cards that way. If I only knew better.

You basically find somebody who has something you want and have something they want. You agree then post the deal up in the Trade Manager. Depending on the feedback score of who you are trading with you would probably have to send first so I'd advise you to trade with people who have high feedback scores and have been on here for awhile if you go that route. Really no different than eBay where you have feedback of positive, neutral, and negative for transactions.
