America's founding fathers have nothing to do with the age of the Earth, and Climate Change, why even bother, you sound like you are running for Mayor somewhere.

If you don't understand what he said, just say so. It's obvious you missed at least one particular point. Almost as though you saw one phrase, commented on that, and forgot there was a post attached. Almost...

Antarctic "sea ice" and the Antarctic "glacial ice" are two very different things. There is a reason "sea ice" is on the increase. Want to guess what it is Jay?

    one guess would be;
there is a natural shift in the polar vortex and it is causing temperatures to change, as earth's history reflects, resulting in the waters warming, ice melting, and breaking off the glaziers and floating into the ocean?
    or
there is a shift in the polar vortex, we do not know why, but it is causing temperatures to change, resulting in the waters warming, ice melting, and breaking off the glaziers and floating into the ocean?

there is a shift in the polar vortex and it is causing temperatures to change, resulting in the waters warming, ice melting, and breaking off the glaziers and floating into the ocean? Humans could be responsible for some portion of it.
    but not,
there has never been a drastic change in the earths climate so the one we our experiencing now has to be caused by humans.

I didn't miss a thing. The Tom Cruise 4th of July, Founding Fathers rally was not necessary, and had nothing to do with the point he was making.

My point being; increased pack ice is not a sign of cold, it's a sign of warming. Yet you quote it as if it defends the position of a denier. Just like all the other denier stats; they look good until you drill down into them.

It had everything to do with (part of) the point your hero was making, and you know it. Hell even he knew it.

I don't know what the precise solution is, however in order to get to any type of solution, we must first agree that there is a problem.

Until we stop arguing about nonsense, then we can move forward.

Huh? You just said a couple posts ago there was no debate among scientists about climate change so why do they need to agree that there is a problem? You seem to be using the excuse that nobody has come up with a solution on the fact that people can't agree on something but the people who know everything don't care what somebody in some hick town thinks. So why haven't they come up with a solution if they all agree? Do they need to know everyone on SCF agrees to move forward with their projects and ideas from stopping the world from ending? Does that excuse make sense to anybody else?

Seems like the two solutions that the two political parties have come up so far are:

Republicans say do nothing about it
Democrats say do nothing about it except tax people more

Pretty much par for the course from both parties but I'm still baffled why outside of one scientist on CNN a few years back I haven't heard anybody come up with a solution to this problem. Anybody else hear any actual solutions?

Scientists are pretty much in agreement on solutions. Unfortunately, there is no political will to do what is necessary in most countries. If all political parties would agree that there is a problem and there are solutions then you could begin to cooperate on informing the public, which would help initiate the changes needed.
