    What Are The Odds?

    I love this site: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL.html

It runs through all the scenarios for every team until the end of the season and calculates a team's chances of making the playoffs.

Right now it's looking good for the Habs, who are almost a certainty to make the post-season at 90.1% with 16 games left on the calendar. For them to drop below a 50% chance of making it they would have to go into a major slide (5-8-3 to close out) - and even then the odds are still pretty decent because everybody behind them to this point of the season has been that type of inconsistent.

    Where does your team sit?

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Red Wings Odds now down to 39% chance of making the playoffs. People would be wise to listen to me. Heh, heh.

We are out of the playoffs. Here are the big games and what ifs for draft seeds.
Although it might be more fun to go down swinging.

100% playoffs, 2.8 chance to win cup for my Avs.

I think that second one should be a little higher...

Yes it should be higher, because a 100% chance at the playoffs with 16 teams means 1 in 16 odds which is much higher than 2.8% chance. It's actually a 6.4% chance based strictly on the number of teams.
