Hilarious centrehice, You honestly think Boychuk and Sidenberg are better d-men? You maybe in a league of your own on this one. I'm just gonna assume you haven't seen the Bruins play these last three-four seasons. Like Mooneyes pointed out, the guy plays a ton and shuts done the best in the east regularly.

Capt55, Karlsson is a fantastic hockey player, that being said he is basically a forward playing defense. Point a game and -15. There has been an argument for some time now that there should be a offensive D award, and an overall D award. Not saying a player can't win both the same season, but there's no way Karlsson was the best D man this year. Best offensive, for sure, but he didn't have a solid defensive season.

    LOL

I don't care when defensemen score goals or assists, that is not their job. Their job is to defend. I don't like any of the nominees. They are all glory hounds.

I agree, but that is a part of their game, but that is why I dont like Karlsson at all but still think he was better than Chara. Same with Pietrangelo, Bouwmeester, Giordano, Byfuglien. And Weber was -2, on a team that isn't even that good, plus in the final stretch he was +11. With 2 GWG in that stretch as well. That'ts pretty good.

ERIK KARLSSON should have been on the list and he would have won the Norris for sure.

Get out. Karlsson is not defensive enough

How are they glory hounds???????? How are team leading players on/off the ice glory hounds? So when you are in the NHL leading a team and having an amazing season makes you a glory hound? Come on

I don't like Chara. He's slower than a sloth. That's all there is to it. Stop taking everything so personal.. It's just me able to push your buttons at will.

Weber. Close between him and Keith, but his beard growing ability puts him over the top.

I can agree with the Chara thing, and I'm not taking it personal I'm just saying if they were gloryhounds they would have a right to be glory hounds, because they ARE the best d-men in the world so if that doesn't give yoy any right to be one then what will? Am I right

The Hockey News just named Zedeno Chara the winner of the Bobby Orr award as leagues best defenseman, the rod langway award as best defensive defenceman and the John ferguson award as leagues toughest player. He'll be basking in the glory of knowing a group of hockey experts voted him the best in those categories.

Some people are just happier when they can find fault with everything/everyone and are only happy when they can start trouble and engage in a pissing match. This argument will get you nowhere, logic and facts included.
