I want Montreal in the semi's not Boston, and it isn't because I think Montreal will be any easier I just don't want to deal with the New York vs. Boston rivalry sideshow.

Congrats to the NYR, they played well and wanted it just more.
Lundqvist was the big difference in the game and the series, he was the beast.
As far as Crosby and the penguins, Crosby played well and I wont go into the name calling here tonight.
I think the coaching staff and even management need to be looked at for changes, pens need a power forward and not more offcence and shooters, so no more of those types of players.
fleury was not the issue tonight or for the major part of the series, defence was bigger issue and offence was missing.
Anyways Congrats to the Penguins as well, great season and we will be back next year.

I hope Bylsma is gone tomorrow. No excuses for not performing. Time to get rid of the country club atmosphere.

I watched the game and I wasn't impressed with the Rangers game. Pens took over the game after the Boyle goal, and basically lost because of Lundqvist and their failed PK. Anyone else see that or was I hallucinating?

Not so much of the Pens taking over, but the Rags simply laying back and forming barriers at the blue line. They were playing Russian Roulette and allowing too many chances. They finally started fore-checking in the last 3-4 minutes of the game, and it worked.

Penguins: Too Small. Bylsma can't make the players bigger. The last 4 cups have been won by Big defensive orientated teams. Imagine if Crosby had Hossa and Bickel as his wingers instead of Kunitz and who ever...

I love Nash but I really hope he shows up next series. He's been really good defensively, gotta give him credit there, but we need his offense. Idk what's wrong with him but he just looks slower than usual

Wow Lundy was unbeatable. We could have shot 100 times and were not beating him. Anyways The PP and PK killed the Pens and so did the defense and especially offence.
When you have Crosby, Malkin and Neal there is no excuse for not winning more in the last 5 years. Obviously something is wrong and its the coaching. The whole staff should be fired except the goalie coach. Bylsma his system stinks no one ever crashing the net and all they do is drop pass when coming into the zone.
Malkin, Gibbons, and Fleury were the only ones who should up all series. Fleury was damn good enough to win this series no one should be blaming Fleury at all.
Good luck to the Rangers the rest of the way!Flickr: Hidden Content

Some goon, I forget who, drilled his forehead into the dasher, his brain may actually be slower now...or more likely he got really spooked by the vicious impact and isn't the fearless indestructible young man he used to be. Some athletes can shake off big trauma's no problem, others are never the same. I suspect the latter as he doesn't drive hard to the net at all anymore.

Brad Stuart gave him an elbow a couple games into the season and he was out with a concussion for awhile, about 20 games. Oddly enough he looked like himself in his 2nd game back from the concussion against Dallas, had a beautiful breakaway goal and drew a penalty shot as well. Later on though, despite scoring pretty frequently, he just didn't look as fast and explosive as he was in his 1st season with us....but at least he was scoring, all he's done lately is take weak shots from the blue line. We're gonna need him now more than ever considering we're facing a legit goalie in Price
