The redemption list for the rookies is growing pretty quickly as the first breaks start to surface.

Looks like more than 7 they had in 2011-12 7/60 that year

Could be 8 or 9/60 2013-14 this year.

They did that but with all non-auto'd cards. Its called Artifacts. Which I personally like better until they decided that every card needs a dual jersey/jersey auto/dual patch/ patch auto/ tag/ fight strap/ auto fight strap and so on. Too many parallels and they don't even look different except for whats in the little hole.

I agree here. I wish UD would only make 10 sets next year. Just 10 and see how the market is.

Has anybody tried redeeming one of these MacKinnon's yet? If so what is the status on them?

I think Nate being a redemption will help the long-term value of his FWAs. I don't think this years SPA will fly off the shelves and I would expect the majority of MacKinnon FWA redemptions to be stranded in unopened wax until they expire in a couple of years. I'll estimate roughly 400-500 of the 999 will be redeemed once he signs and the rest will rot in the UD warehouse, save for some that will go out as replacements unless UD unloads them in a future product.

Redeemed one yesterday along with 5 other FWA the status was the same for all of them "Waiting...expect the athlete to sign soon..."

I did get the 3 pink Mackinnon YG I dropped off at the Spring Expo along with a memo about glad to do it for one year and as long as quantities last
