Unless UD presents more and better then this I think NT takes the cake...

I like the design of the RCs, but not sure I'll crack any Cup wax. It doesn't look much different from years past. Will try my luck with NT this week though.

Damn. Looks good. I can't believe people will choose sticker auto national treasures over this.

One thing is that it will cost more than NT. You get double the cards in NT. All rookies are /99 in NT. The Patches in NT put The Cups little NHL Shield Patch to shame.
Also UDs latest product in Ultimate was to put it nicely not good.
The cards look great I like the design. The Limited Logos look awesome and that Lemieux is making me cry.
Projected Release Date? Sometime before December would be nice.Last edited by theboxbreaker96; 08-29-2014 at 04:44 PM. Reason: Grammar Error

Price should be about the same if not less since NT prices are jacked now.

October..
Not feeling the borders.
Looks like they are trying to copy prime with big patches but booklets are silly.
Looks decent.
Still think dominion has the best looking rpa's. ..

Just my 2˘, as there's no way on God's green Earth that I'll be able to afford either Cup or NT anytime this decade...
I agree with the sticker autos in NT - for the price, it's absolutely criminal that you get sticker autos!!! Yes, I know Panini is dumping everything hockey-related, which is making for some nice hits in their recent releases, but I think that is really drowning out the bulk of their mediocre hockey sets up to the NHL-UD-exclusive announcement along with the fact that NT, to me, seems "cheapened" by the stickers.

Sticker autos were extra hits. But hey if you guys think they're not worth anything, I'd gladly take your sticker auto duals, triples, quads as a donation.
I guess I'll be the first to say that I don't like the design of this year's Cup. It's too Artifacts- like for me in a way. Look at the design of the cover of the dual auto rookie booklets. Take away the "cup" logo and put 2 swatches there, and it's basically the design of Artifacts. I'm not saying it doesn't look good, but it's just too similar to blow me out of the water. Color scheme of Blue/Silver is nice, but I'd like more contrast between the blue and silver (here's hoping there is in real life) cause the previews of the first few cards just didn't sit right in a way (to me).
I am glad they bought back the monumental booklets, those are always nice to look at.
