Garage Sale Hunting! Tips, Hints and Advice

I had this in a box with my Roger Rabbit stuff and only ended up selling it for $2 on the Bay. But the guy that bought I made his day. He told me how he collects Kool Aide items and this was an item he never seen and was a great addition to his collection. It is good to help others out.

A few years back I was able to sell a gorgeous framed tufting to a guy. As it turned out, it was a 60th anniversary present to his wife, and arrived the day of. That felt good.

Well did not find any markings on the blue stuff but got the whole set for $10. I think it is a steal will let the buyers decide.

Looking for some insight. I am hitting an auction Saturday and I have run into glassware like this. Don't know the name of it but was hoping you guys might recognize it and tell me if it is worth anything.

Was able to grab a few decent vintage items; tin toy carriage, paper mache pear shaped Santa, egg beater style hand drill.

Had a miss on 3 super soakers. There's $1.50 down the tubes...

Way overproduced but could not help picking up a sealed box of 90 upper deck.I am sure somebody can use it

No picking for me this weekend. I had my own sale and did pretty well. Just under $600 and moved some larger items so I can try to get my truck back in the garage before winter.

Good Job on your sale. I have my final yard sale scheduled for the second weekend in October. The park down the road from me has its annual Pumpkin Fest and this yard sale draws in a nice out of the area crowd so hoping to clear out stock.

Did some thrifting today. Walked out with a 1958 British import All Jolson record, a nice soapstone owl carving, a 'UFC est. 1993' shirt, an old Singer sewing tin box, a Norman Rockwell licensed mug (already have the matching plate), and a laminated copy of JFK's 1961 inaugural speech printed in 1963. My $9.97 should net me close to $60 plus whatever the JFK speech is worth.

I love soap stone carvings. nice pick ups.
